#51 - Anzac War Memorial

I usually try to inject my own interpretation of humour into my reviews.  However, given the nature of this one, it feels like it would be a bit disrespectful.  Instead, I'll keep this one short and to the point.

The Anzac War Memorial is located in the South part of Hyde Park.  It consists of an attractive building, surrounded by flags, and with a reflections pool in front of it.  It is a very peaceful spot, except for the skateboarders who regularly practice at the far end of the reflections pool.

Inside the building there is a hall of memories, which contains various artefacts and stories.  Guided tours are available if you want a more in depth background to the memorial.  Again, it is a nice and peaceful spot to come and learn some more about the ANZAC troops, or just to pay your respects.

All in all, a fitting tribute to the men and women who have sacrificed so much for their countries.
